POP-UP TERMINOLOGY:

cut: Cutting lines are marked with a solid black line.

score: To indent the paper with a dull tool to make it easier to fold. Scoring lines are marked with a broken line.

fold: To crease the paper after it has been scored.
Folds can either be a "mountain" (marked by a dotted red line) or a "valley" (marked by a dotted blue line).

gutter: The center fold on the base page.

kinetic energy: Energy created by movement. The action of opening a card or turning a page is what makes a pop-up come to life.
